Is my money safe at a credit union?

Yes. Eligible deposits at Kindred Credit Union are protected by deposit insurance administered by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA). This is separate from CDIC coverage at banks.

What is a Creation Care Loan?

Our Creation Care Loan offers reduced-rate financing for green home improvements, including renewable energy systems, geothermal installations, and energy-efficient upgrades. It comes with a 0.5% environmental discount. It is borrowing with a purpose, and it is available at our Kitchener branch.

What is a Community Inspiration GIC?

A Community Inspiration GIC lets you earn competitive interest while Kindred donates bonus interest to the church or charity of your choice. It is a way to grow your savings while directly supporting your community. The Community Inspiration GIC is offered January 1 to June 30 each year. Speak to our Kitchener team to learn more.
